My name is Kailey Latham, and I am a Midwest girl stuck between a rock and a desert.
I am a current graduate student at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. I recently graduated from The Ohio State University where I received my undergraduate degree in Public Affairs Journalism with minors in political science and women’s studies. I seek to empower and educate others about the beauty and value of women of color.
I am a proud brown girl who loves God, music, travel, food, and writing. I have yet to discover my purpose in life, but I strive to take each day a step at a time. In the words of Ntozake Shange, “bein a woman and bein colored is a metaphysical dilemma i haven’t conquered yet.”
